Request for Expression of Interest for Consultancy Services (Firm Selection) – Consultancy Service for the preparation of a full Project Proposal; Completion of a Gender/Social Assessment, Feasibility Study and to Conduct Stakeholder Consultations for a project to be submitted to the Adaptation Fund

In collaboration with the Protected Areas Conservation Trust (PACT), as Belize’s National Implementing Entity of the Adaptation Fund (AF), the Ministry of Fisheries, Forestry, the Environment, and Sustainable Development via the National Climate Change Office (NCCO) has submitted the project concept “Enhancing the Resilience of Belize’s Coastal Communities to Climate Change Impacts,” which was endorsed by the AF Board in October 2019. Two assistance grants were also approved by the AF Board for the completion of technical assessments and consultative processes to aid the development of a complete project proposal.

PACT is interested in identifying a Consulting Team to undertake the formulation of a project proposal for the concept. The main objective of this consultancy is the creation of a comprehensive project proposal with a clear rationale for increasing the climate resiliency of Belize’s coastal communities by improving coastal land use and habitation, increasing monitoring as well as national adaptive capacity and knowledge transfer.

The Consulting Team is expected to include at maximum three (3) members with expertise in Project Development and/or Management including Environmental Management; Social Sciences or Humanitarian Studies; Coastal Engineering; and/or related areas.

Professional and Skills Requirements:

• Minimum of a Graduate Degree in area of expertise;
• Relevant work experience of at least five (5) years in area of expertise;
• Experience in developing project proposals, conducting project feasibility studies and gender/ social assessments

PACT invites interested eligible Consulting Teams to submit an expression of interest indicating competence and relevant experience in completing similar consultancies.

Packages should include Expression of Interest and Curriculum Vitae (for each individual consultant).
